摘要: Purpose: This study investigated the prevalence and etiological factors associated with caries in a group of young Australian aboriginal children from 1 to 3.5 years age. Methods: One hundred forty-seven healthy infants, aged years, attending community health center Brisbane, nonfluoridated state capital city, were randomly selected for study. Results: The was 39% by subjects 32% total number teeth present. mean decayed, filled (dtf) 2.5±0.4, which is more than twice figure 3-year-old Australia. Furthermore, (f) component represented only 1% dft, suggesting very low treatment levels. Increased experience infants strongly high dental plaque scores, levels Streptococcus mutans infection, sleep-time consumption milk containing added sugar. Conclusion: results suggest that urban are at risk caries, preventive strategies urgently required.
