Blacks in rural America: Socioeconomic status and policies to enhance economic well-being

摘要: This research documents the disadvantaged status of rural blacks. Many indicators economic well-being reveal that blacks lag behind both urban and whites. Investments in human capital are critical for improving blacks; public assistance equal opportunity policies also important. Financing alternative remains a major constraint to reducing disparity between their white counterparts communities.
