摘要: Abstract This paper gives an assessment of the current state art in handwriting recognition. It summarizes lessons learned, difficulties involved, and challenges ahead. Based on a review recent achievements off-line computer recognition totally unconstrained handwritten characters, extensive research, authors attempt to identify new frontiers for research which may lead further breakthroughs this field. They will present some evidences novel ideas ways stretching limits systems aiming at outperforming human beings.
