摘要: HSO3-3-galactosylceramide (Sulfatide) species comprise the major glycosphingolipid components of oligodendrocytes and myelin play functional roles in regulation oligodendrocyte maturation formation. Although various sulfatide contain different fatty acids, it is unclear how these affect oligodendrogenesis myelination. The O4 monoclonal antibody reaction with has been widely used as a useful marker for myelin. However, synthesis during pro-oligodendroblast stage, where differentiation into lineage already occurred, not examined. Notably, this stage comprises O4-positive cells. In study, we identified from pro-oligodendroblast-to-myelination by imaging mass spectrometry. results demonstrated that short-chain sulfatides 16 carbon non-hydroxylated acids (C16) 18 (C18) or hydroxylated (C18-OH) existed restricted regions early embryonic spinal cord, pro-oligodendroblasts initially appear, co-localized Olig2-positive pro-oligodendroblasts. C18 C18-OH also isolated C22-OH became predominant later development longer C24 was adult brain. Additionally, presence each area brain spectrometry at an increased lateral resolution. These findings indicated recognized Moreover, acid chain matured. Therefore, individual may have unique Read Editorial Highlight article on page 356.
