摘要: Summary The interaction between sibling species that share a zone of contact is multifaceted relationship affected by climate change [1, 2]. Between species, interactions may occur at whole-organism (direct or indirect competition) genomic (hybridization and introgression) levels [3–5]. Tracking hybrid movements can provide insights about influences environmental on [1]. Here, we explore the extent mechanism movement black-capped chickadees ( Poecile atricapillus ) Carolina carolinensis levels. We find strong evidence winter temperatures limit northern P. carolinensis demonstrating current-day association range this minimum temperatures. further show temperature limitation has been consistent over time because are able to accurately hindcast previous under earlier conditions. Using data, confirm northward past decade highlight temporally differential—but limited—geographic introgression alleles. Our results an informative example influence species.
