摘要: Research data collected on 75 Bipolar I patients, hospitalized at the NIMH between 1963 and 1975, were reviewed to identify "switches" into out of mania. There 27 "slow" switches (i.e. occurring over a period 2--6 days) in 14 patients 89 "rapid" 24 hours or less) 35 patients. No patient showed both during his hospitalization. Among rapid switches, 52 mania 37 Rapid occurred significantly more often morning (7 a.m. 3 p.m.) than night (11 p.m. 7 a.m.) evening (3 11 p.m.). Estimated average sleep time prior switch significant drop as compared second, third fourth nights switch. Patients who switched rated manic 4 days following evening. sleeping less morning.
