摘要: Objective: To analyse the relationship between the presence of malnutrition (MN), as measured by NRS- 2002 nutritional evaluation, and rate morbidity and mortality. Design: Cross-sectional study. Setting: Patients admitted to Mateu Orfila Hospital, the regional hospital for island Menorca, Spain. Subjects: 1,075 patients who were Mateu Orfila Hospital (Menorca) had laboratory studies and a risk (NR) evaluation available were studied. Those clinical suspicion MN or those at studied. Intervention: Demographic (age, gender) clinical (current weight, normal body mass index, weight loss, oral intake, presence intestinal failure, fistula, renal respiratory infection, urinary infection, hyperglycaemia, admission ICU, stay, days of parenteral nutrition treatment reason admission) were collected during hospitalisation, well as hospital mortality 6 months following discharge. All underwent NRS-2002 test. Results: The mean patient age was 67.9 years and 58.3% men. 62% met criteria for manutrition according test. A statistically significant association seen malnutrition according failure, fistula, renal hyperglycaemia, hospital months. Conclusion: Malnutrition affects more than half the patients are medium-long admission hospital it is associated with increased and mortality. results underscore need establish an update plan preventative therapeutic nutritional follow-up. These measures reduce avoidable complications save costs them.
