摘要: Background: Liver biopsy has remained the gold standard for diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C; even though, it a low but non-negligible rate both false negative and complications. Several authors have proposed noninvasive tools to diagnose cirrhosis. But none them showed complete concordance with liver biopsy. Objectives: To devise score based on routine parameters that discriminate between patients high risk, those risk cirrhosis among C without performing biopsy, compare this other ones using devoted aim. Patients Methods: We reviewed charts who performed 2000 2004. Multivariate analysis was used identify independent predictors An group admitted 2007 2012 constituted validation set. Results: enrolled 249 had laboratoristic data, sufficient tissue fibrosis staging. Age, AST, prothrombin activity, platelets were identified as histological categorized these variables, devised novel called CISCUN (Cirrhosis Score University Naples), giving one point each following predictors: age > 40 years; AST 2 upper normal values; platelet count < 160.000/mmc; activity 100%. Cirrhosis 2.9% 103 = 0 or 1, 23.4% 124 3, 86.4% 22 4. These results confirmed in 285 similar characteristics. Conclusions: ≤ 1 very while 4 3 an intermediate cirrhosis, therefore needed perform receive reliable diagnosis.
