摘要: Skin cancer is reaching an epidemic and the most common type of in United States with more than 1 million cases diagnosed annually. Using a pre-test post-test study design, we compared participants’ (n=800) knowledge (K), attitudes about skin (A), intention to screen (I) after their participating one-hour health education session that seeks builds trust, discuss information, encourage action. The results show this educational had significant proximal impact on subjects’ KAI status. Average scores prevention significantly increased, average attitude indicating screening embarrassing or painful, decreased, increased. Participants higher levels favorable scores. In conclusion, program suggest action-oriented participatory may play important role improving prevention.
