摘要: Overconsumption of lipid-rich diets, in conjunction with physical inactivity, disables and kills staggering numbers people worldwide. Recent advances our molecular understanding cholesterol triglyceride transport from the small intestine to rest body provide a detailed picture fed/fasted active/sedentary states. Key surprises include unexpected nature many pivotal mediators, as well their dysregulation - but possible reversibility obesity, diabetes, related conditions. These mechanistic insights new opportunities correct dyslipoproteinemia, accelerated atherosclerosis, insulin resistance, other deadly sequelae overnutrition underexertion.
