摘要: Splinter hemorrhages (SHs) of the nails represent a frequent although not specific clinical finding that has been associated with conditions varying severity. However, to date, there is no single report their characteristics and etiologies. The aim this study guide practice by reviewing all data concerning SH have become available since first description condition was published in 1923, particular reference features, medical conditions, pathogenesis, necessary workup. PubMed EMBASE were searched using keywords "splinter" AND "hemorrhage*"; only articles excluded those studying SHs retina. hemorrhage nail disorder may be idiopathic, drug-induced, or sign dermatological disease, such as psoriasis lichen planus, wide range systemic disorders, most important which are infections vasculitis. Clinicians dermatologists should aware features both conditions.
