HIV Treatment as Prevention: Implications for Health Promotion.

摘要: Evidence has been accumulating in recent years that individuals with HIV who are effectively treated antiretroviral drugs highly unlikely to transmit the virus their sexual partners. This approach great potential contribute ongoing prevention efforts and termed 'treatment as prevention'. International political momentum building attempt significantly reduce new infections globally end epidemic by 2030. In pursuit of such aims a number local health authorities communities have adopted intensified 'test treat' strategies quickly diagnose risk onward transmission through an immediate offer treatment. These most commonly driven enhancements clinical services promoters engaged limited ways. People often high rates literacy now expressing interest knowing more about how treatment might work individual transmission. For some this represents added reduction measure for others it may replace condoms. There is currently opportunity promotors engage both exploit its benefits counter stigma attaches infectiousness. It hoped any fear will help improve quality social relationships among affected groups.
