摘要: Abstract Effects of surface treatment techniques like laser and shot peening on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) susceptibility friction stir welded (FSW) 7075 aluminum alloy joints were investigated. This study had two parts; the first part investigated effects in FSW samples by slow strain rate testing a 3.5% NaCl solution. The second while submerged solution with no external loads applied. No signs pitting or SCC evident any tensile during testing. plates exposed for 60 days inspected periodically areas expected to have residual stresses due welding. Pitting was seen samples, but even after day exposure detected peened unpeened samples.
