Tianeptine in the combined treatment of combat related posttraumatic stress disorder.

摘要: SUMMARY Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy tianeptine, an antidepressant that acts by increasing serotonin reuptake, in treatment posttraumatic stress disorder and compare effects tianeptine fluoxetine, from selective reuptake inhibitors class. Subjects methods: 43 war veterans suffering were included study. During 5.5 months 21 patients receiving 22 fluoxetine. In addition, all took part intensive trauma specific group psychotherapy. two antidepressants on symptoms PTSD, depression anxiety after assessed using Harvard Trauma Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory, STAI List Drug Use Side Effects. Results: There no significant difference between groups regarding their effect severity depression. level same first measurement but became other three measurements favor tianeptine. anxiolytics co-prescribed drugs remain both groups, use analgesics significantly increase fluoxetine during course treatment. Conclusion: demonstrated is as effective with even stronger equal tolerance.
