摘要: Automatic blood pressure recorders have gained acceptance in many clinical settings. New devices usually been validated with invasive monitoring as the "gold standard." There is a lack of sound empirical evidence, however, supporting routine use these monitors ambulatory This study evaluated DINAMAP 8100, an oscillometric automated monitor, using Hawksley Random-Zero Sphygmomanometer standard. A sample 80 normotensive and hypertensive patients from Department Family Medicine at Medical University South Carolina were studied. trial was conducted which readings 8100 compared those Sphygmomanometer, 2 (instrument) X (arm) (investigators) 4 (pairs simultaneous measurements) factorial design. The overestimated systolic (mean difference = 7.6 +/- 9.1 mmHg, P less than .0001, paired t test).
