摘要: Patients are often encountered clinically who have autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and also symptoms suggestive of a comorbid psychotic disorder. A careful assessment for the presence is important. However, core deficits seen in ASD, social reciprocity, communication, restricted behaviors interests, can be mistaken psychosis. Also, there subset patients present with complex neurodevelopmental disorder impairments that cross diagnostic categories. This article reviews connections between ASD psychosis, highlights key points to consider these "autism-plus" disorders.
