摘要: Abstract Triplet-state organic matter could be generated by chromophoric aerosols under light exposure, which furtherly induce aerosol aging. The characteristics of triplet-state generation have not been fully investigated to date in aerosols. Here, we conduct a comprehensive investigation the dissolved (3CDOM*) primary, secondary and ambient results show that biomass combustion strongest capacity 3CDOM* generation, while vehicle emissions are weakest. In aerosol, there is stronger ability generate winter than summer. various types CDOM identified EEM-PARAFAC method, structure-activity relationship between type investigated. two CDOM, usually as N-containing substances, contributed 88% generation. According spin trapping electron paramagnetic resonance technique, estimate at least 30% singlet oxygen (1O2) 31% hydroxyl radical (•OH) estimated rate reached ~100 μmol m−3 h−1 atmosphere Xi'an, China, approximately one hundred thousand times •OH. These indicate likely significant contributor aging actual atmosphere.
