摘要: Hydroxylamine oxidoreductase (HAO) of Nitrosomonas catalyzes the dehydrogenation NH2OH and subsequent addition oxygen to form nitrite. HAO contains c hemes CO-binding heme P460 in a 7:1 ratio; involves passage electrons then hemes. We now report that rapidly pass from center H2O2. This conclusion is supported by (a) inhibition oxidation with CO (b) loss H2O2-oxidizability ferrous following specific destruction P460. Reaction H2O2 rate-limiting. Activation dioxygen for N-oxidation may involve two-electron reduction O2 The reaction was studied as it reveal aspects mechanism activation dioxygen. Reaction slow low affinity compared other hemoproteins. Values enzyme were: k1, 1.1 × 10−3 M−1 s−1 Kd, 12μM.
