摘要: The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) initiated the nuclear power plant aging research (NPAR) program about 6 years ago to gather information aging. Since then, this has collected a significant amount of information, largely qualitative, on and its potential effects safety. However, body knowledge not yet been integrated into formalisms that can be used effectively systematically assess risk resulting from aging, although models for assessing effect increasing failure rates core damage frequency have proposed. purpose review is survey work conducted address systems, structures, components (SSCs) plants (NPPs), as well associated data bases. takes critical look at need revise probabilistic assessment (PRAs) so they will include contribution adequacy existing methods evaluating contribution, in these evaluation methods. A preliminary framework identified integrating SSCs PRA, including identification needed such an integration.
