摘要: The search spaces in combinatorial chemistry as well the sequence underlying (molecular) evolution are conventionally thought of graphs. Recombination, however, implies a nongraphical structure spaces. These structures, and their implications for process itself, heretofore not understood general. In this contribution we review very general formalism from point set topology discuss its application to spaces, fitness landscapes, evolutionary trajectories, artificial chemistries.
