摘要: Acute hypoglycemia was produced in pregnant Holtzman rats, by fasting or plus insulin injections. Rats were fasted for 48 hours beginning on days 7, 9, 11 of gestation. Examinations day-21 fetuses showed that greatest susceptibility to the effects occurred during gestation 9 and 10. The noted retarded ossification axial skeleton increased frequency supernumerary ribs, duplicated vertebral centra, asynchronous centra. Insulin administered state no further decrease rate, but ribs centra increased.
