摘要: The sclerophyll forest zone (SFZ) of mediterranean climates covers all those regions that exhibit similar climatic characteristics warm to hot dry summers, with high solar irradiation and rates evaporation, mild cool wet winters low evaporation. In these conditions, broad-leaved mostly evergreen trees shrubs thick, but small, leathery leaves, reach their optimum development distribution. Forests dominated by such plants are considered the zonal vegetation. Koppen (1923) called this olive climate because around Mediterranean Basin distribution (cultivated) tree—a typical tree—corresponds quite well type.
