摘要: In this paper, a new compact suspended antenna is presented for ultrawideband (UWB) application. the proposed design, unequal arm U-shaped feeding patch below an H-shaped radiating to produce wide bandwidth through electromagnetical coupling technique. This connected probe compensate inductance. Two shorting strips are introduced hold above ground plane, as well reduce antenna's size. These improve at lower operating band. The has dimension of $$0.129\lambda \times 0.186 \lambda 0.096 $$0.129?×0.186?×0.096?, where $$\lambda $$? wavelength lowest frequency. been optimized and its parametric study performed using electromagnetic field simulator, based on finite element method. prototyped measured. Measured results indicated that structure achieved impedance 103.86 %, ranging from 4.3 13.59 GHz $$\hbox {VSWR}\le 2$$VSWR≤2. measured wideband stable radiation patterns with acceptable gain signify effectiveness configuration in context UWB
