摘要: Abstract: The purpose of this study was to predict the outcome implant restorations in treatment partial edentulism, taking into account interdependency and effect several confounding variables. Between December 1982 June 1998, 1956 Branemark system® implants (1212 744 maxilla mandible, respectively, 846 distal first premolars) were installed 660 patients (248 males) at Department Periodontology University Hospitals Catholic Leuven. Of 810 Prosthetic Dentistry same hospital, 235 single crowns, 166 supported by teeth 409 free-standing fixed prostheses. An additional 87 placed private dental offices not included. followed from installation until 1999. estimated cumulative survival rates 91.4% for all 95.8% over a period 16 years. Estimated loading implant-tooth connected were, 93.6% 97.2%. Neither jaw site nor position (anterior–posterior) had any significant on outcome. Short length, high number per patient, low prosthesis, loaded acrylic-veneered combined with bone grafting present higher risk hazard failure. idea splinting prosthesis is promising but needs replication before accepting it.
