摘要: In this report, we have characterized mutM mutant with respect to its ability repair 8-hydroxyguanine (oh8Gua) in DNA. The oh8Gua DNA endonuclease activity strain was minimal as compared that the wild-type cells. presence of 6-fold corresponding a characteristically higher frequency G.C-->T.A transversions strain. These results suggest mutator phenotype is at least partially due spontaneous accumulation resulting from greatly reduced activity.
