摘要: We used behavioral and emotional problem items to construct (a) nosologically based Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) oriented scales from experts' ratings the items' consistency with DSM-IV (4th ed.; American Psychiatric Association, 1994) diagnostic categories, (b) statistically syndromes factor analyses adults' self-ratings adults by people who knew them (N = 4,628). Quantified, operationally defined, normed DSM-oriented facilitate multitaxonomic approaches assessment adult psychopathology. Psychometric properties cross-informant correlations were similar for derived syndromes. associations between phenotypically moderate strong. Multitaxonomic can avoid reification provisional taxa that may result excessive reliance on a single taxonomic paradigm.
