摘要: This thesis focuses on high ability students and the effects of Saturday summer courses their academic social development. These who have been identified through assessment are in top 5% population academically. After qualifying from they invited to participate courses run by the Irish Centre for Talented Youth (CTYI) at Dublin City University other colleges around country. This study looks participated these programmes their parents relation impact social development. Results show that participating parents a significantly higher level satisfaction with classes CTYI compared to school. Furthermore perceive themselves a more positive attitude towards attending school. Both parents and within this note lack challenge school believe that receive little support classmates ability. Parents tend rank children’s as much better than peers all academic subjects while most selected subjects.
