摘要: Activation of innate immunity with the subsequent development a chronic low-grade inflammatory response is now recognized as critical factor in pathogenesis diabetes mellitus and diabetic complications, including nephropathy. In setting nephropathy, there evidence relevant contribution pro-inflammatory cytokines, special participation tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha). This new pathogenic perspective leads to therapeutic implications derived from modulation inflammation cytokines. Experimental studies have shown beneficial renal actions TNF-alpha inhibition use soluble receptor fusion proteins, chimeric monoclonal antibodies pentoxifylline (PTF). Clinical application this strategy nowadays limited PTF administration, which has demonstrated significant effects patients Overall, these indicate that might be an efficacious treatment for disease secondary mellitus.
