摘要: Abstract The field of nanoscience and nanotechnology is continuously growing, providing Society with novel nanomaterials enabling applications in different strategic sectors (industry, environment, energy, medicine, food, etc.) that improve the quality life for humans. In this context, precise control physicochemical properties offered by new materials mandatory to ensure a successful application. Moreover, effects these man-made on environment health are still under study and, so, safety such current concern. Eventual strongly depend characteristics nanomaterial (e.g., size, shape, chemical composition, surface state). Thus, appropriate methodologies characterization demanded. chapter mass spectrometry (MS) tools approaches used gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) critically summarized. continuous evolution MS techniques employed AuNP analysis presented.
