摘要: Heuristic decision-making models, like Take-the-best, rely on environmental regularities. They conduct a limited search, and ignore available information, by assuming there is structure in the environment. Take-thebest relies at least two regularities: diminishing returns, which says that information found earlier search more important than later; correlated early predictive of later. We develop new approaches to determining orders, measuring cue discriminability, make reliance Take-the-best these reg ularities clear, open manipulation. then demonstrate, well-studied German cities environment, three city environments, when how regularities support Take-the-best. To do this, we focus not acc uracy as most previous studies have, but measure its coherence process. In particular, consider whether decisions, based single piece can be justified cause an exhaustive for unlikely yield different decision. Using this measure, show are present, decisions made have changed after both often necessary.
