摘要: In this study, residual concentration of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in the sediments, prey, and eggs Bubulcus ibis were measured from three breeding heronries Punjab province Pakistan. Pattern contamination followed order: DDTs > HCHs > heptachlor > aldrin. Overall, pesticide concentrations greater cattle egrets collected heronry on River Ravi. Among HCHs, γ-HCH was more prevalent eggs, whereas DDTs DDD > DDE > p,p ′-DDT > o,p ′-DDT. Eggshell thinning detected which showed negative relationship with DDE. prey samples, POPs DDTs > HCHs > dicofol > heptachlor; however, pattern sediments a slightly different DDTs > heptachlor > dicofol > HCHs > dieldrin > aldrin. Concentration β-HCH comparatively Dicofol found for very first time biological samples Pakistan, its as relatively high Chenab. Residual below levels that could affect egret populations. Biomagnification total OCPs through food chain evident heronries. The DDE suggests need monitoring contaminant other bird species at trophic levels.
