摘要: Pulmonary rehabilitation is a set of tools and disciplines that attends to the multiple needs COPD patient. It extends beyond standard care by addressing disabling features chronic progressive lung disease. centers on self-management, exercise, functional training, psychosocial skills, contributes optimization medical management. Exercise enables other components building strength, endurance, confidence, reducing dyspnea. Patients who have undergone often enjoy reduced need for health-care utilization. On downside, one-time intervention, benefits which dissolve over time. The patient's physician rarely participant in program; thus, at disadvantage being able support long-term response. Rehabilitation available small percentage large patient population could benefit. Optimal disease management would entail redesigning integrate rehabilitative elements into system self-management regular exercise. should emphasize involvement essential developing maintaining an effective exacerbation protocol. take its place mainstream through integrative reconciliative role multidisciplinary continuum services, as defined National Institutes Health, Research, Workshop 1994.
