摘要: Summary Children of immigrants are a rapidly growing part the U.S. child population. Their health, development, educational attainment, and social economic integration into nation’s life will play defining role in future. Nancy Landale, Kevin Thomas, Jennifer Van Hook explore challenges facing immigrant families as they adapt to United States, well their many strengths, most notably high levels marriage family commitment. The authors examine differences by country origin human capital, legal status, resources describe varied living arrangements, focusing on children Mexican, Southeast Asian, black Caribbean origin. Problems such poverty discrimination may be offset for some extent living, do, two-parent family.
