摘要: Occupational diseases of dentists and dental nurses were compiled from the Finnish Register Diseases. The cases recorded during 3 3-year observation periods, namely 1982-1984, 1986-1988, 1992-1994 (i.e., 9 years). relative risk developing occupational allergic contact dermatitis in different occupations was calculated statistics years 1986-1991, expressed as age-standardized rate ratio (SRR). During years, majority registered skin (221/312; 70.8%), followed by repetitive strain injuries (61/312; 19.6%) respiratory (20/312; 6.4%). incidence (IR) for dermatoses/10,000 workers (contact urticaria included) increased 26 (95% confidence interval (CI) 16-40) 1982-1984 to 79 (95%, CI 64-97) 1992-1994. IR/10,000 dermatoses especially dentists, 5.4 0.7-19) 1982 67 45-95) increase smaller: 43 26-66) 87 67-111) There no irritant dermatoses. most common causes plastics, disinfectants antimicrobials, rubber chemicals, mercury/mercury salts. detergents, wet dirty work, plastic chemicals antimicrobials. Currently, have highest 4th any occupation dermatitis: 6.4-fold (SRR 6.4) 6.1-fold nurses, compared general working population. It is evident that safer acrylics protective gloves, better product declarations material safety data sheets, well more information about measures, including non-touch techniques, are needed.
