摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as an electron-donating colorless dye by reacting alkoxy-dihydro-trimethyl-N-arylquinoline with a hydroxy- substituted amino-benzoylbenzoic acid. CONSTITUTION:A 6-alkoxy-1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethyl-N-arylquinoline is reacted 2-hydroxy-4-substituted acid preferably in mole ratio of 1.1/1 to 1/1.1 objective [e.g. formula (R alkyl; X ia H, alkyl)] cyclized at 1- and 2-positions.
