摘要: Abstract The goal of the isotopic analysis hair and nail from Puruchuco-Huaquerones is to reconstruct short term paleodiet using stable isotopes carbon nitrogen in one centimetre increments two discrete points (distal proximal) on nail. This sampling method allows for reconstruction diet a monthly basis (hair) also at periods (nail): four months weeks antemortem. these tissues demonstrates that varied month food was not stored any significant quantity. patterning isotope data appears be closely tied agricultural cycle, although vertical economy cannot rejected as an alternative explanation. Isotope both (e.g., nail) long bone) are similar; this interpreted evidence continuity settlement area. There no differences season death between males or females winter summer months. slightly higher mortality rate may due crop failure subsequent shortages.
