摘要: Abstract High affinity α-bungarotoxin (α-BTX) binding sites of the hypothalamus in and near suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) were mapped by vitro macroautoradiographic analysis. Adult male rats killed at specific circadian phases. Their brains rapidly dissected out frozen sections made a thickness 16 μm. After having been mounted on slides, incubated with iodinated α-BTX (3 nM), washed exposed to X-ray film. Analyses performed aid digital video densitometer system. Autoradiographic loci that bound traced image SCN histology from adjacent section was superimposed. In this way exact relationships topography areas those contained cell bodies (and other hypothalamic landmarks) could be observed. Non-specific tested incubation presence 3 μM unlabelled found very low uniform throughout sections. Hypothalamic included SCN, supraoptic, periventricular, lateral anterior nuclei. rostral coincided nucleus proper. Caudally relationship dissociated so mid-SCN dorsally laterally both within outside most caudal portion nucleus, entirely vertical band dorsal SCN. This suggests may coincident major output pathway courses caudally
