摘要: WEISSBERG, JILL A., and PARIS, ScoTT G. Young Children's Remembering in Different Contexts: A Reinterpretation of Istomina's Study. CHILD DEVELOPMENT, 1986, 57, 1123-1129. 2 important questions the study children's memory development are, "At what age do children use deliberate strategies to aid recall?" "What effect does task context have on remembering?" conducted 1948 with Soviet is often used support claims that younger than 4 years not voluntary remembering, recall better play situations tasks where they are told remember information. The present improved experimental methods but failed replicate her results. Children from 3 7 were given 6 items either a direct lesson format (i.e., explicit requirement) or as part games involving grocery shopping puppet birthday parties. Recall age, subjects at all ages remembered more game contexts. who rehearsed recalled words nonrehearsers. effects appear due fact condition, older spontaneously. understanding about clarity goals, need act, instrumental value rehearsal may facilitated recall, while uncertain distraction, processing load suppressed for young children, especially condition.
