摘要: Abstract Al-TiB2 in-situ metal-matrix composite has been synthesized by reaction with commercially pure molten aluminum and potassium hexafluoro titanate (K2TiF6) tetrafluoro borate (KBF4) adopting stir casting method. Varying amounts of salts based on stoichiometric calculations were added to obtain 0, 5 8 wt.% TiB2 in the composites. The melts allowed solidify or without electromagnetic stirring a rotary magnetic field. effects varying percentage reinforcements have characterized microstructural evolution consequent improvement mechanical properties. application (EMS) during solidification shown very prominent effect matrix morphology particles properties like hardness, tensile strength, dry sliding wear resistance.
