Catalytic behavior and reaction routes of MEK oxidation over Pd/ZSM-5 and Pd–Ce/ZSM-5 catalysts

摘要: Catalytic oxidation is a widely used pollution control technology for removing volatile organic compounds. Pd-Ce/ZSM-5 catalysts with different Ce contents were prepared by co-impregnation method, and their catalytic performance was investigated the of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). The by-products reaction monitored using gas chromatography collected in thermal desorption tubes, which further analyzed chromatography/mass spectrometry. PdCe9.6/ZSM-5 catalyst displayed highest efficiency, as consequence higher amount strong acid sites superior PdO-Pd redox cycle presence CeO2 additive. introduction enriched by-product species. formation mechanisms routes typical by-products, such acetate, 1-penten-3-one 3-buten-2-one, 3-methyl, during MEK over also analyzed.
