摘要: Abstract The correct functioning of the chemosensory pathway is pivotal for attitude towards feeding. In some neuropsychiatric disorders, abnormalities sensory processing dramatically affect feeding behavior; however, evidences an olfactory involvement in Anorexia Nervosa (AN) are still controversial. We administered a complete testing battery, Sniffin’ Sticks Extended Test, to cohort 19 girls with Restrictive (AN-R) and healthy controls. A battery questionnaires aiming evaluate eating attitude, psychopathologic disorders autistic traits was also administered. No difference found between two groups any tasks. Despite lack correlation olfaction disease severity, performances were related anorectic (r = −0.489, p = 0.039). Girls AN-R do not appear have impaired function respect However, possible ability discovered. light such findings, role relations social functioning-related features discussed.
