摘要: The thylakoids of the thermophilic cyanobacterium Mastigocladus laminosus were examined by freeze-fracture analysis. expolasmatic (EF)-freeze-fracture particles are organized in rows, separated 45 nm or more with a 12-nm center-tocenter spacing neighboring particles. Phycobilisomes, associated to outer thylakoid surfaces show similar pattern. Fractures exposing simultaneously phycobilisomes and EF-freeze-fracture on same direct alignment both systems. Consequently concluded be peripherally top 1:1 assembly periodicity determines arrangement rows. planar phycobilisome model Morschel et al. (1977) easily allows successive row, whereas staggered developed Bryant (1979), only cogged is possible.
