摘要: In asphalt mixtures, stripping occurs when the bond between and aggregate is broken due to intrusion of water within interface. Warm mix (WMA) a technology that allows significant reduction in mixing compaction temperatures conventional hot asphalt. However, WMA susceptible moisture damage its lower production temperature. This can cause adhesive failure, hence binder from aggregates. this study, direct tensile strength (DTS) indirect (ITS) tests were applied fracture mixture specimen. Imaging technique was on fractured faces quantify failure susceptibility destructive effects moisture. The results showed increased with number freeze thaw cycles mixtures prepared PG-76 exhibited compared PG-64 binder. From ITS samples, most aggregates found located vicinity where load applied. On other hand, high obtained at center portion maximum stresses developed. image analysis method employed work has proven be very effective analyze deterioration subjected conditioning.
