摘要: Tea is one of the most common beverages in world. Leaves Camellia sinensis (Black tea) possess antioxidant, renoprotective and antiapoptotic properties. The present study investigates effect black tea (Theaceae) infusion on aflatoxin induced renal damage male mice. Aflatoxin B1 was orally administered at two doses 750 1,500 mg/kg body weight, for 30 days. Then a concentration 2% drinking water, simultaneously along with aflatoxin. Biochemical histopathological analysis were done 31st day treatment. treatment caused significant reduction (−17%) weight corresponding increase relative organ (52%). higher dose also increases activities alanine aminotransferase (81%), aspartate (55%), acid phosphatase (32%) serum creatinine levels (58%) concurrent decrease alkaline (−23%), succinate dehydrogenase (−44%) adenosine triphosphatase (−45%) protein content (−19%). Histopathological changes showed that results massive disorganization both glomerular tubular structures. However, significantly restores these damages doses. Thus use as dietary supplements therefore can be beneficial prevention deteriorative effects xenobiotic agents.
