摘要: Habitats have substantial influence on the distribution and abundance of animals. Animals' selective movement yields their habitat use. Animals generally are more abundant in habitats that selected most strongly. Models selection can be used to distribute animals landscape or modelled based data use, occupancy, intensity use counts When population is at carrying capacity an ideal-free distribution, related metrics estimate abundance. If not equilibrium, models flexibility incorporate density into selection; but might influenced by factors influencing fitness directly thereby compromising habitat-based for predicting size. Scale domain sampling frame, both time space, crucial considerations limiting application these models. Ultimately, identifying reliable from requires understanding mechanisms underlying regulation limitation.
