摘要: Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a newly established category of RCC composed histologically characteristic "chromophobe" tumor cells. Although ultrastructural and immunohistochemical studies showed that these cells present several features similar to those found in the intercalated collecting duct, using antibody panels on large number cases are limited. We performed an study 21 Japanese chromophobe RCC, along with clear oncocytoma, find hallmarks useful for precise differential diagnosis tumors. was positive epithelial membrane antigen but negative vimentin. Cytokeratins did not show constant immunoreactivity three types Furthermore, all RCCs oncocytomas were E-cadherin N-cadherin, whereas E-cadherin, 58% N-cadherin. The Ki-67 labeling indices significantly lower classified as (pT1) or Grade 2 than RCC. Immunoreaction demonstrated be distinguishing from low index might indicate favorable prognosis, reported previous studies.
