摘要: Abstract To determine the effect of restricting suckling in behaviour and welfare sheep, 40 ewes their 10-week-old lambs were assigned to one following treatments for 10 days: T1=lambs free suckle (control); T2=the udder ewe was smeared with faeces; T3=the covered; T4=ewe lamb separated by a wire fence. In T1, T2 T3, remained mothers. No differences ( P >0.05) found food consumption or weight gains when treated groups compared controls. Lambs T3 performed same number episodes similar length, but less than groups. Cortisol concentrations all treatments. At end experiment, no difference that attempted 2, 3 4 (30%, 30% 20%, respectively). It concluded from during 10-day treatment period induced minor short-term distress break social bond 70–80% ewe–lamb pairs.
