摘要: This paper describes the design and testing of cold-formed steel web stiffened lipped channel sections experiencing distortional–global buckling mode interaction under axial compression. The relevant literature was reviewed, were selected with nearly coincident distortional global loads to have strong effects. Selected satisfy geometric limitations for pre qualified in order apply direct strength method (DSM) Appendix 1 North American Specifications (AISI-S100:2007). A total 15 compression members tested pin warping restrained end condition. experimental results compared current rules AISI-DSM quality DSM based procedures on reviewed. In addition, a reliability analysis performed assess D–G procedure predict ultimate capacity sections.
