摘要: Little is known about the ecology of epiphytic bryophytes in broad-leaved forests slopes, screes and ravines. Factors determining bryophyte distribution such were investigated. In total 45 species found (12 them signal species, including three specially protected Latvia – Antitrichia curtipendula, Neckera crispa Plagiothecium latebricola). Th e number higher on tree with relatively basic bark pH (Acer platanoides, Ulmus glabra, Fraxinus excelsior, Populus tremula, Sorbus aucuparia, Tilia cordata, Salix sp.), but lower acidic (Alnus glutinosa, Betula pendula, Picea abies). Tree diameter, age distance from to top slope not related distribution. highest richness (including species) was up a 0.5-m height southern exposure trees upper side inclined (on south north facing east west slopes).
