摘要: Abstract Composite insulators with superhydrophobic coatings can ensure the safe operation of railways, electricity and telecommunication systems. A robust Mg(OH)2/epoxy resin coating for composite is reported. The fabricated by a simple method, water contact angle reaches its maximum value 155° at stearic acid loading 0.285 g. property controlled different amounts acid, which influence surface roughness coating. Additionally, shows mechanical stability, chemical durability self-cleaning property, allowing it to be stored in more than 20 days. In consideration above-mentioned advantages, these characteristics make this better commercial insulators, great benefit global issues.
